Mutations Guide

A mutation in Defeat Anime RNG is a rare roll variant with extra combat power. It is not a cosmetic skin you merge away for a few levels. The confirmed example on live Roblox is Genius Mutated Kobeni, granted by the Chainsaw code after Death Castle. Until another mutated unit is confirmed in-game, treat that Kobeni as the template for every mutation decision: keeper, separate branch, send it into bosses.

This page is how mutations fit the incremental loop. You still roll anime units, merge duplicates, fight bosses, survive waves, and unlock zones. A mutation is a better input into that loop, not a skip.

What a mutation is (and is not)

Marketing rarity runs from 1 in 2 (5 DPS) to 1 in 999,999,999 (100M DPS). Mutations live on the rare side of that fantasy. This wiki will not invent a stat table for Kobeni or for a mutation you have not seen. What we can say from play pattern:

  • A mutated unit is tagged as mutated. A plain copy of the same name is not that unit.
  • The mutated copy belongs on the field. Parking it in inventory while a normal roster dies is wasting the roll or the code.
  • Merging does not get safer because the name matches. Read how to merge before you feed anything with a mutation tag.

A mutation is also not a Power. Power [Angelic] and Power [Blossom] come from Evangelion and Blossom and sit in a different slot. Do not spend Trait Shards expecting them to become a mutation. Shards shape a unit; they do not reprint Chainsaw. The split is on trait shards.

Genius Mutated Kobeni is a keeper

Unlock Death Castle for 450K Coins, open Shop on the left, paste Chainsaw, press Enter. Full clicks are on how to redeem. If the string fails, use codes not working before you assume Kobeni was removed.

Once the unit exists:

  1. Put it on the roster you send into waves and bosses.
  2. Do not merge it into a plain Kobeni.
  3. If a plain Kobeni exists, park that plain copy or feed it only if you are certain the mutation remains on the surviving body. If you are not certain, do not merge them.
  4. Do not dump Trait Shards on a different Common while Kobeni sits unused. If Kobeni is your combat spike, she is a shard candidate too.

Chainsaw is a one-time account claim. There is no second Genius Mutated Kobeni from the same code. Protecting the branch is cheaper than hoping a 1 in 999,999,999 roll reprints her.

Keep mutation branches separate

Think of each mutated name as its own tree:

  • Tree A: Genius Mutated Kobeni and any future dupes that are also mutated.
  • Tree B: plain copies of that base, if you have them.
  • Tree C: your generic main that is not Kobeni.

Feed inside a tree. Do not cross the streams because the portrait looks similar. Incremental games punish that click and do not offer an undo.

If a later patch adds another mutated unit, start a new tree. Do not assume every mutated drop merges into Kobeni. Names matter. Tags matter. Guessing is how keepers disappear.

The same discipline applies after a lucky natural roll. If a unit lands with a mutation tag, it is a new tree even if you already liked a plain version of that name. Promote the mutated copy to main for that name.

Luck Potions before heavy rolls

Luck is how you see more rare animes and mutations on a roll session. Stack it on purpose:

  1. Like the Defeat Anime RNG experience on Roblox.
  2. Join the Defeat Anime Bosses group.
  3. Redeem UpdateTwo (five Luck Potions) and Release (three Luck Potions) after Death Castle.
  4. Drink the potions immediately before you spend a large Coin stack on rolls.
  5. Merge after the batch. Do not drink, roll one unit, then go AFK in a wave.

Luck Potions are wasted on a 5K Coin nibble. They are for the session where you actually dump the bag. Group luck is always on once you joined; potions are the burst. You do not need to sit on potions forever — they do not gain interest — but you do need a Coin pile and a merge plan before you pop them.

XP and Gold Potions from Release are not luck. XP goes on a keeper. Gold goes on the next zone wall. Mixing those up is how people say potions did nothing.

When to roll for mutations versus when to farm

If Death Castle is still locked, do not stall the 450K hoping to naturally roll Genius Mutated Kobeni. The code is the reliable copy. Farm Coins, unlock the zone, redeem, then roll with luck stacked.

If Death Castle is open and you already have Kobeni, further mutation hunting is a luxury session. Clear waves, beat the bosses you can beat, pay the next zone if the wall is up, and only then drink Luck Potions. A mutated unit does not help a wipe loop if you never merge the rest of the roster.

Six-player servers will show other people with mutated copies. That is not a drop for you. Your roll table is your account. Your like/group luck is your account. Your potions are your account.

Where this sits in the wiki

Reading order: getting started → Death Castle → codes → protect Kobeni using this page and how to merge → send her at bosses. There is no official Trello of mutation odds. Discord is where patch screenshots show up first; this page updates when a second mutated unit is actually confirmed, not when a comment guesses a name.

Mutations are the rare branch of the same game. Keep the branch, time the luck, and go back to waves.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for codes, merges, bosses, and Death Castle.

What is a mutation in Defeat Anime RNG?

A rare combat variant of a unit. The confirmed example is Genius Mutated Kobeni from `Chainsaw`. Claim it after Death Castle using how to redeem.

Should I merge Genius Mutated Kobeni?

Do not feed her into a plain copy. Keep the mutation branch separate. The click-by-click warning is on how to merge.

When should I drink Luck Potions?

Right before a large Coin dump on rolls, after you like the game and join the group. First-hour timing is in getting started.

Are Powers the same as mutations?

No. Angelic and Blossom are Powers from codes. Mutations are unit variants. See trait shards for the Power slot.

Is there a Trello of mutation odds?

No official Trello. Use this page, the codes hub, and Discord for confirmed drops.
